GLKWeb.com and the Mr. Natural World Tour

His Elusiveness Mr. Natural kicks off his world tour tonight by opening for the esteemed Justice Yeldham, accompanied by many others which you can read about in this other blog post. In the meantime, his tour itinerary is now available, and let me tell you - if he’s arriving in your area, you should drop everything and check out his plantlife audio alchemy.

We’re also proud to announce that these dates are being served to you from the brand new glkweb! Gender-less Kibbutz finally have a permanent home on The Internets! The site is skeletal at the moment, but it will become more informational in the very near future.

Natural Prep and More Sewage

Spent a good evening with Mr. Natural, getting some stuff lined up before he goes on his world tour. Final graphics transfers, itinerary knowledge, registering glkweb.com (give it a couple of days) and making some very special plans for his stopover between Japan and the US leg of the tour… More info soon, so keep an eye out.

In the meantime, some new Treatment Plant tracks have come our way! First, we have another track from James Jandt called Doubly Treated Raw Sewage and two dark, winding trips through the pipes from kirchenkampf: Wasteoid and New Age Sew Age. Check them out!

Friday 11March - Justice Yeldham & otherse

A quick shout to the Nashvegas noise types - there’s a great show this Friday, March 11 at Angle of View featuring -

Justice Yeldham, aka Lucas Abella - Sara Galaxia - Crayola Filth - Mr. Natural - Catheter Stretch - Qlippoth

This is what The Nashville Scene has to say about this show in this week’s Critic’s Picks section:

JUSTICE YELDHAM The next month or two promises a bounty of shows for fans of noisy, experimental and just plain outré music. Headlining a packed, and intriguing, bill this weekend is Australia’s Justice Yeldham, the stage name for one Lucas Abela, whose setup consists of a contact microphone, his entire face, a piece of glass and KY jelly—which should conjure up a pretty vivid picture of what to expect. If that sounds like it ain’t exactly up your auditory canal, it could still be pretty fascinating to watch. (A good, sturdy pair of earplugs might also come in handy.) Also on the bill is Sarah Glakzia, a Mexican experimental-electronic musician about whom we don’t know much, save that she has requested three mops, three metal buckets filled with primary color paints, and a huge white cardboard to put behind the stage. Along with St. Louis’ Ghost Ice, three local performers will appear as well: Elijah Earls’ new Qlippoth project, Waverly, Tenn.-based Catheter Stretch, and Mr. Natural, a longtime mainstay of the Nashville experimental scene. Showtime is at 9pm, with a $5 cover. Check it out, and see you there!

New Treatments…

I’m pleased to announce that there are two new tracks available now at The Treatment Plant. I’d like to welcome 4th Sign of the Apocalypse and James Jandt to our list of purifiers… Go check them out and let them know what you think of their purification skills. To them (and especially to 4th Sign) I’d like to apologise for the delay in getting these tracks up. To everyone else, I’d like to encourage you all to continue downloading the sources (because I know that you are) and send us your tracks!

The week past, future times…

Been relatively busy the past week or so, so sorry about the lack of new updates longer than a few words long… Been working a bit making some long, very drone-oriented peices using that little gem of FM synthesis called Operator, which has been fun. Once I get a few of those finished, could a mini-release be too far off? I have received a couple of new submissions to the Treatment Plant project, which I need to get onto the webpage ASAP… sorry about the delay!

Working with Mr. Natural on mastering and artwork for the next two GLK releases, trying to get those together before he embarks on his world tour (dates and info on the shows and the final details of the releases will be here in a day or two…). He’s going to be kicking off the tour with a gig on Friday 3/11 at Angle of View, opening for Lucas Abella. Qlippoth and Catheter Stretch will also be performing, so it should be a good noisy time. The lineup and further details can be read about here.

Working on artwerk for the CD release of Logickal’s SewageTreatments. Can’t wait to be done with that. Working on the final specifics, but have a couple of great (perhaps even incredible) shows happening in April… stay tune-ed!
