A quick shout to the Nashvegas noise types - there’s a great show this Friday, March 11 at Angle of View featuring -
Justice Yeldham, aka Lucas Abella - Sara Galaxia - Crayola Filth - Mr. Natural - Catheter Stretch - Qlippoth
This is what The Nashville Scene has to say about this show in this week’s Critic’s Picks section:
JUSTICE YELDHAM The next month or two promises a bounty of shows for fans of noisy, experimental and just plain outré music. Headlining a packed, and intriguing, bill this weekend is Australia’s Justice Yeldham, the stage name for one Lucas Abela, whose setup consists of a contact microphone, his entire face, a piece of glass and KY jelly—which should conjure up a pretty vivid picture of what to expect. If that sounds like it ain’t exactly up your auditory canal, it could still be pretty fascinating to watch. (A good, sturdy pair of earplugs might also come in handy.) Also on the bill is Sarah Glakzia, a Mexican experimental-electronic musician about whom we don’t know much, save that she has requested three mops, three metal buckets filled with primary color paints, and a huge white cardboard to put behind the stage. Along with St. Louis’ Ghost Ice, three local performers will appear as well: Elijah Earls’ new Qlippoth project, Waverly, Tenn.-based Catheter Stretch, and Mr. Natural, a longtime mainstay of the Nashville experimental scene. Angle of View —Jonathan Marx
Showtime is at 9pm, with a $5 cover. Check it out, and see you there!
