I’m glad that it speaks as a memorial.

After I found out, I thrashed about aimlessly. I wrote a little bit that I emailed and was sent with Balance off to his next adventure.

A bit later, I told my friend Miqel about the news. His first words to me were “Well. I guess it’s up to you now.”

I’m not going to try to pretend that I’ve got any of that level of genius behind my work, but when I’m needing to remember my goals, I will always remember that statement.

I remember last year when I heard the news. When the memorial came around, I threw on ‘Dark River’, looked out the window, and pondered.

This is a fitting memorial. I burned a copy and listened to it to and from the country the other night. Makes for great late night through the hills of Tennessee music.

Another nice set Logickal.

A year ago I was fortunate enough to stumble upon some tickets for Coil’s last concert in Dublin City Hall … it was an awe inspiring experience and an incredible introduction to Coil … Jhonn draped over the microphones, surrounded in fog, totally lost in the moment.

I cannot believe I am the first to reply regarding the podcast. It was incredible. The mix was a fantastic blend of soundscapes that capture the frustration, sadness and emptiness felt by each individual contributer based on the loss felt from the passing of one of the most inspiring artists in the past 30 years. It defines the influence Coil has had on us all by painting a sonic picture reflecting the feelings words cannot quite capture. Thank you for a wonderful podcast.
