john t. unger studio: American Guernica: A Call for Guerilla Public Art
Artist John T. Unger wants us all to plaster copies of Picasso’s famed anti-war painting Guernica all over everywhere. Sounds good, where should I start? I think his basic concept calls for billboards, but I’m sure those of us with more meager budgets could figure something out.

Thanks for spreading the word! Yeah, really any means of getting the image posted as far and wide as possible is good. I like the billboard angle because, well, it’s so hard to miss. And I think part of my initial idea came from the notion that the original painting is about the same size and aspect ratio as a billboard…
