Behold the Rocklopedia Fakebandica! Everything you ever wanted to know about Bands and musicians that don’t exist.
Brilliant!
You all must check out Elektro Kraft.
It also contains the very rare video game sound chip that produced the sounds of many video games of the 1980’s. *External VCO input jack giving you the ability to plug in another synth, VCO, electronic keyboard, guitar, bass or vocals. Can be used as a stand alone space synth or use it to process an instrument. (Remember those pulsing sounds as the “aliens” approached?)
I want one.

The motherlode of primitive and early computing artifacts. Napier, Pascal, Babbage, you name it.
Another weekend, another list of things that didn’t get done. All in all, had a good time. Angelique didn’t work this weekend, so having her around was very good. Saw Miqel for a bit on Saturday, discussed things deep and neurologically stimulating as is our wont. Gave him the Raw Like Sewage CD, asked for a contribution (More on this in a few days). Went and ate dinner with our friends Jason, Lindsay, Paul, Kelly and Emma. Had a wonderful time with them, as always.
Now here we are on Sunday, and I have about 15 tracks that need to be mastered, a whole new wing that needs to be added to the website, an introduction to the collaborative project I’ve been on about… Wonder how much of that is going to get done tonight, eh?
Exhausted. Work was long and boring, but isn’t it always. Had a great evening - Mr. Natural came over and he and the boys and I hung out. Great fun discussing plans for the near future while I mastered a live recording from his recent trip to Italia. As is to be expected, John’s Rock-N-Roll lifestyle caught up with him, forcing him to make an impromptu trip to the Left Coast. More on that as it develops.
While getting ready the Sewage Treatment material, realized I already had 15 peices in various states of completion, (nearly) ready to post along with the source materials. It’s different in a lot of ways from the material I’ve performed recently - much more atmospheric and drone-oriented. Can’t wait to use some of this stuff in a live context - maybe I can bridge the gap. Can’t wait to get it all online - a goal I’ve set for myself for the weekend.
Glad to see visitors to the page - and thanks to everyone who has registered so far. Don’t be bashful. In the meantime, got a great invite from DJ B to visit the Mixdown on the 6th. Those of you in Nashville can tune in that morning around 11:15 to get the skinny on Sewage Treatment, or you can stream it from the Mixdown webpage.
In the meantime, it’s time for me to get my axxe to bedd.
PS: New Autechre in April.
